Kalashnikov Seeds is a Russian seed bank founded in 2002 by experienced breeders and veterans of the Soviet army. Based in the Kuban region near Sochi, the company works closely with partners in St Petersburg and the Far East of Russia. The strains are based on the legendary AK-47 genetics, combined with Russian, Eastern European, Spanish, Dutch and Afghani landraces. In addition to feminised and autoflowering seeds, Kalashnikov Seeds has developed the unique „Express“ line. These varieties are characterised by a shortened flowering time, but are not autoflowering plants. They require less daylight to enter the flowering phase, allowing for an earlier outdoor harvest. The Express line includes strains such as AK Kush Express, Baikal Express and White Critical Express. Kalashnikov Seeds has set itself the goal of publicising the quality of Russian cannabis seeds internationally and successfully competes with Western seed banks.
