Why should I actually pay for a tracking code afterwards?
You will simply receive a tracking code if you have selected “with tracking” as the shipping method. We will then automatically send you the tracking code by email and you can follow the status of your shipment with the parcel service, arrange a delivery date or arrange for a pick-up at the nearest depot. In retrospect, we generally do not send tracking codes if you have not selected the “with tracking code” option, as we would have to manually search for your tracking code from thousands of photos of the shipments. To protect your data, your tracking code will not be linked anywhere with your personal address data. We ask for your understanding that we cannot find your tracking code from thousands of package photos without first selecting the chargeable shipping option “with tracking code”, because the time required for this usually exceeds the value of the order. We know that Amazon and online retailers, who do not care about the protection of customer data, automatically transmit tracking codes by linking the tracking data with the address data, we would also like to do that for the sake of simplicity, but we have decided against it to protect our customers and only transmit tracking codes to explicit selection by the customer and only manually without automation.
If you did not choose the chargeable option “with tracking” with your order, but still want us to find your tracking code, you can get the tracking code after booking this service. Please make sure to state your order number in the order notes, otherwise this service cannot be implemented!
